Jed Ardell Adams
1932 ~ 2015

Jed Ardell Adams, 83, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2015. He was born January 2, 1932 in East Garland, Utah, to Floyd and Zelda Adams.

Jed served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Spanish American Mission and continued his service to the Church throughout his life including as a bishop and as a district president at the Provo Missionary Training Center.

He earned a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from UC Berkeley and worked for the State of California until his retirement.

Jed married LaNea Robinson on September 11, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He loved spending time with his wife and family, serving others, John Wayne movies, genealogy, fishing and football. He had a gift for music, picking the best tasting fruit at the store and eating treats in secrecy. Jed was a man of faith and integrity who will be missed by many.

Jed is survived by his wife, LaNea; children, Bart (Mariann) Adams, Valerie (Alan) Howarth, Lori (Joseph) Keeler and Annette (Glenin) Garcia; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Burke, Marc, Kent and Cleve.

A graveside service for the family will be held Friday, January 23rd at 1:00 PM and interment will be at the Highland Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the General Missionary Fund.
