She was born, August 20, 1956 to Lois Marie and Robert
Wayne Miller, in Sacramento CA, the third of five children.
While attending San Jose State, she met the love of her
life, Marlin Porter Allred. They were married for eternity
April 30, 1977 in the Oakland California LDS temple.
Lisa is well known for her abilities to cook, garden and
sew. She spent many hours mentoring and teaching others
the skills of sewing, canning and gardening. When she became
limited in her abilities, she spent hours knitting gifts
for those most dear to her. Most memorable is the love and
patience she had for her family. She was dedicated to serving
her husband and children throughout her life. She taught
her children many skills as well as diligence and hard work.
She took the time to play with them and make each of them
feel important and needed. She conveyed a sincere and abiding
love and appreciation for her husband, and could usually
be seen walking hand-in-hand with her eternal companion.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wayne Miller;
nephew, Blaine Cory and grandson, Christian Dubois. She
is survived by her loving husband, of 35 years, Marlin;
children, Robert (Jennifer), Susan, Melissa (Matthew) Freeman,
David (Keshia), Steven (Melissa), Brian, and James; 10 grandchildren;
her mother, Lois; siblings, Dawn (Clyde) Ulrich, Marcella
(Robert) Greathouse, Kathryn (Larry) Windemueller, and Robert
