Dolores Hansen Barratt
“Together Again”
6/11/1925 ~ 3/12/2017

Dolores Barratt, Mother, Grandmother and friend passed away peacefully Sunday March 12th surrounded by family. Dolores moved from Fielding, Utah to American Fork in her Senior year of High School where she met the love of her life and soul mate Glen Barratt. After marrying, Glen was shipped overseas during World War II. After returning from the war they raised five children in American Fork. In 1963 Glen and Dolores decided to take a big risk and move the family to Anchorage, Alaska. They built a motel and ironically the Alaska earthquake the following year in 1964 helped establish their business. They were motel owner / operators for 30 years. Glen and Dolores had an amazing retirement living in Oroville, Ca. later Pleasant Grove, Ut., St. George, Ut, and Mesquite, Nv., before their final home in Cedar Hills.

Preceded in death by Daughter Ruthye Payne (husband John Payne) survived by daughter Linda Boyd and husband Mike, son Rex and Dixie Barratt, son Mark and Carol Barratt and daughter Sharon Loiseau and husband Amiel. Special Thanks to David and Alena Morris for bringing Dolores into their home and making the final two weeks of her life as comfortable as possible.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Cedar Hollow LDS Stake Center Chapel, 2178 North 1200 East, Lehi, Utah.
