Craig Anthony Bedford
1964 ~ 2018

Craig Anthony Bedford completed his earthly mission on January 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family, as his valiant fight against cancer was completed.

Craig was born September 30, 1964 to Arthur John and Marjorie Stapleton Bedford in Wangaratta, Australia. At 6 years old his family moved to Hamilton, New Zealand where he spent his growing up years. While in New Zealand he was a volunteer firefighter, he worked in a glass factory, and in the banking system. At the age of 19 he chose to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and spent two years in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission. His need for a ride to a Zone Conference introduced him to Sister Forbush, who later became his eternal companion after the completion of their missions. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on October 24, 1986. He was a kind and loving husband to Annette and a father who was dedicated to teaching his children the gospel truths.

He had a strong testimony of the gospel and had a desire to serve in any capacity of church callings. His favorite callings were with the youth of the church where he could help them at a stage in their lives where they were developing testimonies that would carry them through the hard times in life. He had a great spiritual impact on many of these young people, and will be remembered for those lessons he shared.

He had a talent for working with his hands and loved building plane models, doing home repairs and working on the computers at Intermountain Health which is where he was a dedicated employee for 16 years. Craig loved to use his hands serving others and would strive to follow Christ’s example of service and love.

His service expanded to military service when he served for two years on the Utah National Guard.

Although Craig will be deeply missed and fondly remembered, his family and friends know God is in charge and that Craig is busy helping and serving from the other side. His health struggles over the past months refined him and prepared him for his continued service on the other side. He loved people and was always sharing his smile with all and would cheer others with a laugh as he shared good jokes and humor with them.

Craig is survived by his wife, Annette Forbush Bedford, his daughter Brandice Bedford and his son Dallas (Chealsy) Bedford.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Charing Cross LDS Ward Chapel, 2361 West 13400 South, Riverton, Utah. Interment will be at the Riverton City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a Craig Bedford Memorial fund has been set up through America First Credit Union, donations can be made at any of their locations.
