Jensen Boren passed away peacefully on Monday, February
2, 2015. Vonda was born on August 10, 1924, along with her
twin sister, Wanda in Preston, Idaho to Ernest Anton and
Felicia McCombs Jensen.
Upon graduation from high school, Vonda moved to St. John,
Utah where she met her husband Vern D. Boren. They were
married on August 14, 1943 in Salt Lake City. On August
15, 1961, Vern, Vonda and their children were sealed for
time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Vonda was
a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints where she served in various callings. For twenty
seven years she served in both stake and ward callings in
the Primary organization, which was her favorite.
Vonda is survived by her five children and their spouses,
E. Lynn (Mary Lynn) Boren, Eileen (Dave) Forman, Gary (Sherry)
Boren, Dale (Marcie) Boren, Denise (Lynn) Nylund, fifteen
grandchildren, forty two great-grandchildren, eight great
great-grandchildren and younger twin brother Milford Jensen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vern
D. Boren, two grandchildren, Devin and Jodilyn Boren, one
great-grandchild, Lucie Boren and seven brothers and sisters;
Alta Jensen, Rex Jensen, Beth Harmon, Ora Caldwell, twin
sister Wanda Sagers, Mark Jensen and younger twin brother
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015,
at 11:00 am at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900
East, American Fork, Utah. Friends and family may share
their condolences from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to services
at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the American
Fork City Cemetery.
Was born July 24, 1931 in Richmond Indiana at the home
of James Thurman Reed and Mae Euphemia Holmquist. Catherine had three
younger brothers; Robert Joseph, James Thomas, and Richard Allen Reed.
