Clegg Brown, courageous and loving wife, mother, sister,
and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father on September
13, just before turning 54, after a relentless year-and-a-half
battle with a rare cancer.
Lisa is survived by her husband Dean Brown, daughters Hanna
and Bethany Brown, her parents Philip and Nona Hull Clegg,
her sisters Oleah (Stuart Morris), Jeanette (Jeff Welch),
Donelle Pyne, Camille (Stephen Penny), and Minette (Adam
Hale), and her brothers Douglas (Sandra Feller) , Perry
(Sarah Thomas) and Spencer (Erin Atkinson) Clegg. We are
so thankful for all the loving support and reaching out
from so many as we as a family have traveled this journey
Lisa was born on November 13, 1963, the second of nine
children, in Preston, Idaho. Highly gifted in art, she graduated
from Brigham Young University in 1989 with a Bachelor of
Fine Arts and a teaching degree, which she used to bless
the lives of many. She served a mission to Fort Lauderdale,
Florida for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Eventually, she found the love of her life and eternal companion,
Dean Brown, and they married in the Salt Lake LDS temple
on June 27, 1998. On August 28, 2000 and November 22, 2001,
respectively, they welcomed Hanna and Bethany, their greatest
joy and masterpiece, into their lives.
After marrying, Lisa devoted countless hours to serving
those around her. She was known as a generous friend and
comforter. She spent hours serving in her church and the
community with her art, music, and cooking, and especially
her heart. She lived and loved life to its fullest, and
found joy in the simple things. Lisa had the gift of highlighting
the beauty in the details around her. Those who knew her
found peace in her presence as she created a home as a mother
in Israel. Even at the last, she had concern for those suffering
