Norma LaRue Brown
1924 ~ 2015

On January 6, 2015, Norma LaRue Bowen Brown rejoined her eternal companion Clyde Leslie Brown. One can only imagine what a joyful reunion that must have been. Norma was born on October 16, 1924, to kind and loving parents of Walter and Esther Bowen in Samaria, Idaho. She was the youngest of 12 children. She graduated from American Fork High school in 1942. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She married her eternal companion December 21, 1946, Clyde Leslie Brown which was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They raised their six children in Richland, Washington.

She served faithfully in various capacities and callings in the LDS Church including many years as a worker in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. Les and Norma served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Guam Micronesia Mission (1998-1999). Norma was warm and friendly to all she met. She had a wonderful perspective of life and a great sense of humor. She loved to dance and participated in many dance festivals. When Norma passed away BYU lost their number one sports fan. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children Les (Sherrie), Craig (Nancy), Sherrie (Jerry) Kite, Steve (Jane), Tami Strong, and Todd (Tracy); 29 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Cedar Hills 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 4245 Cedar Hills Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, and also at an additional viewing on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will take place in the American Fork City Cemetery.
