Jean Eagar Chadburn, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep
on October 7, 2013 in Orem, Utah. She went home to her Heavenly
Father and a joyous reunion with family and friends who
preceded her there. Barbara was born June 10, 1933 in Bakersfield,
California, the oldest of 5 children born to Clem Oman Eagar
and Pearl Mae Kinsey Eagar. Barbara grew up in California
and Arizona. She spent some time as a mailroom assistant
in the Navy and worked for Hughes Aircraft. She married
Norman Beacham Chadburn on May 20, 1969 in the Mesa, Arizona
Barbara lived a life of service to others. Her goal in
life was to help everyone she could to be happy and comfortable.
She had a deep and abiding love for her family and friends.
She loved cooking, quilting, and gathering family history.
She volunteered for many years in the genealogy name extraction
program for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Norman Chadburn, her
five children: Patricia Cooper, Linda Strait, James Warren,
Kathryn Warren, and Edward (Linda) Chadburn, one brother,
Keith (Phyllis) Eagar, one sister, Joan (Phillip) Brenton,
and many wonderful grand and great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her two brothers: Jackie Eagar, and
William (Mary Jane) Eagar, and granddaughter, Paula Hermenitt.
Heartfelt thanks go to those who served Barbara in her
final years, including the staff at Our House of Orem and
Access Hospice Care, and her valiant visiting teacher, Jean
Barbara will be laid to rest at the Veteran’s Cemetery
at Camp Williams on Tuesday, October 15th at 10:00 am.
