Dunsdon Chamberlain, 90, passed away Friday, August 23,
2013, surrounded by her loving husband and eight children.
Alta was born May 27, 1923 to Richard Garnett and Reba
Healey Dunsdon. She was raised on a fruit farm just north
of Alpine, Utah, along with her sisters—Ellen, Mary,
Fae and June. She started school in the little red school
house and graduated from American Fork High School. Alta
married Zenneth Kent Chamberlain December 20, 1945. They
were blessed with four sons and four daughters. They have
40 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren--the joy of
Alta served in the Primary and Relief Society, both Ward
and Stake. Alta was an avid genealogist, meticulous in her
documentation. She and her beloved husband served a mission
to the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission and have been Temple
Workers at the Mount Timpanogos Temple. Together they hosted
the WWII National Submarine Convention in 1995.
Alta is survived by her husband, Zenneth (Alpine), Connie
Chamberlain (Logan), Bonnie (Lynn) Armitstead (Alpine),
Kaye (Paul) Kowallis (Soda Springs, Idaho), Kent (Dianne)
Chamberlain (The Woodlands, Texas), Dan (Christy) Chamberlain
(Fairview, Wyoming), Chris (Kaye) Chamberlain (American
Fork), Shanon (Tod) Balser (Orem) and Rhett (Karen) Chamberlain
(Hebron, Kentucky), and one sister, June Pack (Orem).
Always it was about nurturing and loving people, big and
small. She wore out her life in the service of her family
