Georgette Frances Burgess Christensen
1939 ~ 2012

Georgette Frances Burgess Christensen passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 surrounded by family. She was born October 7, 1939 in Eureka, California to Theodore Francis Burgess and Alberta Audrey Ford, the youngest of four children. She married James Lawrence Christensen on September 12, 1964 and they were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on June 28, 1965.

She is survived by her husband, Jim, and six children, Ted (Donna), Dawnette (Steve), Laura (Adrian), Frances, Andy (Kristen), and Mark (Char). She is also survived by two sisters, Beverly Searles and Julia Carter.

Georgette was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved her family (and that darn cat). She grew up in Eureka California, lived for a time in Ogden and West Jordan Utah, and raised her children in Hollister, California. The family later returned to Utah where she lived in West Weber, Ogden, Layton, and Alpine. Georgette’s favorite pastime was visiting with family and friends. She was a pioneer in her family, joining the LDS church as a teenager and was instrumental in bringing many of her family members to follow in her footsteps. She spent many years doing family history research and loved doing temple work. She will be greatly missed.

A viewing will be held Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Funeral services will be held Monday, December 17, 2012 at 2:00 PM both at the Alpine Utah West Stake center (327 South Long Drive, Alpine, UT 84004).
