Ferron Dennis Collings
1935 ~ 2016

Ferron “Dennis” Collings, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and friend was born October 31, 1935 to Ferron LeGrand and Eva Wilkinson Collings.

He was raised in Orem and graduated from Lincoln High School. Dennis served overseas in the United States Air Force from December 1952 to November 1956, where he became fluent in French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.

In 1959 he married Alice Sannar. She passed away in childbirth in 1961.

He met and married Karola Kesler in 1971, bringing two families together into one. They were sealed in the Provo Temple in 1972 and have lived a wonderful married life for 45 years.

Dennis served in many church callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a Seventy in the Spring Creek 3rd ward.

His family and friends were very important to him and he loved being a father and grandfather. Fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, and camping, were favorite activities throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife Karola, daughter Karma (Don) Carrier of Covina, California, sons Justin (Carla) and Ferron (Marsha) of Lehi, Utah. He was preceded in death by his daughter Becky Rohbock.

He is survived by two brothers and four sisters, 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Spring Creek 3rd LDS Ward Chapel, 651 East 1630 South, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the church, and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church prior to services.
