Lloyd Daniels, 73, was received into the arms of his Heavenly
Father on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in American Fork, Utah,
where he had lived for 43 years, after a valiant battle
with Lewy Body Dementia.
Dennis was born, the third of six children, to Lloyd and
Florence Fredrickson Daniels in Salt Lake City, Utah on
February 6, 1942. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School
where he lettered in basketball, baseball, and football.
49 and a half years ago, on April 15, 1966, Dennis married
the love of his life, Doris Adele Nelson, the daughter of
Joseph and Merle Grimshaw Nelson, in the St. George Temple.
Together they had four children: Diane (Glen) Burr, David
(Kandy), Douglas (Stacy), and Derek (Marianne).
Dennis honorably served in the Army in Vietnam from 1968-1969.
He served a 30 month mission in Sweden from 1961-1963. He
later served a second mission in Sweden with his wife from
2009-2010. He was an active member of the LDS church and
served faithfully in his many callings.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Doris, three sons, five
granddaughters, four grandsons, as well as three sisters,
Sharon (Stan) Wood, Karen (Lamar, deceased) Landon, Susan
(Ron) Herbert, and two brothers, Bruce (Judy), and Dwight
(Sandy). He is preceded in death by his parents and by his
daughter, Diane Burr in 2001.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015
at 10:00 am in the American Fork 20th LDS Ward Chapel, 825
East 500 North, American Fork, Utah. Family and friends
may call on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Warenski
Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah,
and again on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the church
prior to services. Interment will be at the Mountain View
Cemetery, 600 North 650 East, Beaver, Utah, at 3:00 pm.
