Dennis Lloyd Daniels, 73, was received into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in American Fork, Utah, where he had lived for 43 years, after a valiant battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

Dennis was born, the third of six children, to Lloyd and Florence Fredrickson Daniels in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 6, 1942. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School where he lettered in basketball, baseball, and football.

49 and a half years ago, on April 15, 1966, Dennis married the love of his life, Doris Adele Nelson, the daughter of Joseph and Merle Grimshaw Nelson, in the St. George Temple. Together they had four children: Diane (Glen) Burr, David (Kandy), Douglas (Stacy), and Derek (Marianne).

Dennis honorably served in the Army in Vietnam from 1968-1969. He served a 30 month mission in Sweden from 1961-1963. He later served a second mission in Sweden with his wife from 2009-2010. He was an active member of the LDS church and served faithfully in his many callings.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Doris, three sons, five granddaughters, four grandsons, as well as three sisters, Sharon (Stan) Wood, Karen (Lamar, deceased) Landon, Susan (Ron) Herbert, and two brothers, Bruce (Judy), and Dwight (Sandy). He is preceded in death by his parents and by his daughter, Diane Burr in 2001.
