Wendell J Duncan

Wendell J Duncan, 83 of Highland, Utah passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2013. He was born on March 30, 1930 to Oluf (Pat) and Emily Burnetta (Nettie) Duncan of Neola, Utah He married Gayle Jeppson on August 15, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple.

He attended Henegars Business School and earned an Associate degree in Accounting. He worked at Geneva Steel in Orem for 35 years as an accountant and foreman. After retiring from Geneva Steel he worked for 10 years at Wondoor Corporation during which time he traveled expensively, often being accompanied by his wife.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in the New England States Mission. He did volunteer work at the Utah Developmental Center and at the Welfare Center in Salt Lake.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle; brother, Myron (Marilynn) Duncan of Neola; children, Wendy (Dennis) Parker, Doug (Sherry) Duncan and Blake (JoLene) Duncan all of Highland and Kenneth Scott (Lori) Duncan of Fruitland; 20 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; sisters, Flora Merle Duncan and Othea Wamsley and a grandson, Wesley Duncan.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Highland 9th LDS Ward Chapel located at 11162 North Alpine Highway, Highland, Utah. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Highland City Cemetery. Funeral Directors - Warenski Funeral Home.
