Carole Nelson Evans
1931 ~ 2014

Carole Nelson Evans, age 83, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on April 4, 2015 after a courageous struggle with health issues. Carole was born May 14, 1931 to Anthony Clark and Winnifred Kemp Nelson in Provo, Utah. She married Boise J. Evans on August 11, 1948 in Lehi, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was active in the LDS church and held many positions some of which included Primary President, MIA Maid teacher, and she also taught the Relief Society cultural refinement lessons with her sister Janeen. She was a member of the Lehi Letitian Club.

Carole is survived by her three sons; David C. Evans, Kimball B. (Patsy) Evans, Samuel B. (Lanita) Evans; daughter Maggie Evans Cardon; foster-children, David Talayumptewa and Jane Billie; 16 grandchildren, 6 foster grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister Janeen N. (Raman) Watkins and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Jordan Willows Stake Center Chapel, 2161 West Grays Drive South, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends may call Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will take place in the Lehi City Cemetery.
