Lucile Culverwell Evans
1933 ~ 2015

Lucile Culverwell Evans of Cottonwood Heights, beautiful and beloved mother went to be with her loving husband on June 29, 2015. Born November 14, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harold and Edith Culverwell. She is a third generation descendant of Joshua Midgley who came to the Salt Lake Valley in the second company of pioneers. She grew up in the Princeton neighborhood where the Prophet, George Albert Smith, gave her a ride to school daily. She graduated from Stevens-Henager College; she took this knowledge with her when she worked at Valley Bank, the Utah Board of Education and finally, U.S. West Direct Phone Company, where she retired. The most precious thing in her life was spending time with her family of 6 children, 29 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is leaving behind a wonderful legacy.

Lucile is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Edith, her loving husband, Dale, her brothers, Bob and Hal, her sons-in-law, Rick and Dan, and grandsons Joshua and Michael. Survived by her son Paul (Pam), daughters, Cinny, Vicki, Linda, Karen (Steve), Mary (Jann). Also survived by her canine companion, Saddie. Rest in peace Mom; we know you are doing your happy dance with dad in heaven.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Butler 11th LDS Ward Chapel, 1845 East 7200 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Family and friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the church, and also at an additional viewing on Monday morning from 10:00-11:00 am prior to services at the church. Interment will take place at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
