B Garrett, (Gene), was born in Los Angeles, California July
28, 1931 and passed away at home on March 17, 2014. His
childhood years were spent in LaCanada with his parents
Eugenia Vee and J Earl Garrett where he helped with younger
sister Patricia and tagged after older brother Jay.
He met his eternal sweetheart, Norine Peterson while attending
BYU where he served as Pep Activities Chairman and graduated
with a Business and Marketing degree. They married in September
of 1954 and raised and outstanding family together including:
Velyn (Chris) Anderson, Craig (Ellen) Garrett, Cherie (David)
Schetselaar, Lance (Rebecca) Garrett, Darin (Diane) Garrett,
Sabrina (Tom) Cantrell, Marc (Jennilyn) Garrett. Daughter
Kristine who married Randy Farrish passed away in 1979 and
Gene was anxious for their happy reunion in Heaven. These
children have blessed their parents with 37 wonderful beloved
grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren to date.
Gene loved the Lord and faithfully served two times as
Bishop and as counselor in the Stake Presidency in El Cajon,
California, along with other callings while living in LaCanada
and Carlsbad, California. He served a mission to Western
Canada, early in his youth and later a mission to Washington
D.C. South with Norine plus service missions to the MTC
and Church Conference Center.
He served for a time in the US Air Force as a B47 pilot
and later worked in the Real Estate and Mortgage industries.
The couple have loved living in Alpine since 2001.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014,
at 11:00 am in the Mountainville 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 910
South High Bench Road, Alpine, Utah. A viewing will be held
from 9:00 to 10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment
will follow services at Alpine City Cemetery.
Age 95, died peacefully in American Fork, Utah, on October
15, 2017. She was a dedicated wife, mother, educator, musician, and
artist. She was born in Sugar City, Idaho, on May 11, 1922 ...READ

Was born July 24, 1931 in Richmond Indiana at the home
of James Thurman Reed and Mae Euphemia Holmquist. Catherine had three
younger brothers; Robert Joseph, James Thomas, and Richard Allen Reed.
