0000 ~ 2016
Richard Lee Haws, 51, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at his
home in Highland, UT, the result of a 3-year battle with
amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Born Nov. 25, 1964 in Murray, UT to Joseph Hugh and Deanna
Lee Haws, Richard was the 4th of 6 children. He married
Patricia (Trish) Jagodic on July 7, 2003 in Riverton, UT,
and they were later sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Temple
on March 28, 2015. Rich was the father of four children.
Though he fought a strong battle with this horrible disease
that slowly deteriorated his body, Rich will be remembered
mostly for being a loving family man. He loved horses, outdoor
adventures, hiking in the canyon, playing card games and
was a master of backgammon. Rich developed a close, intimate
relationship with God and constantly encouraged his family
to let go of petty differences and learn to forgive and
love each other.
Rich is preceded in death by his parents, and is survived
by his wife Trish, children Amber (John) Zoudlik (San Tan
Valley, AZ), Brittney (Ehren) Litzenberger (Gilbert, AZ),
Amber Zimtbaum (Lehi, UT) Connor Haws (Phoenix, AZ) and
Codie Haws. He loved seeing his girls become amazing mothers,
and loved being called Pop by his 4 adoring grandchildren:
his brown-eyed girl Avery (6), Scarlett (3), Nixen (2) and
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May
