Helsing, age 94 of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away
September 7, 2017. A Funeral Service was held on September
9 in Powder Springs. Dora will be buried in Utah. Prior
to the burial, a visitation will be held Saturday, Sep 16,
2017, 8:30 am to 9:30 am At Warenski Funeral Home, 1776
North 900 East, American Fork, Utah.
Graveside services will be at the American
Fork City Cemetery at 10:00 am.
Dora was preceded in death by her husband,
Lennart Helsing and daughter, Georgeanne Bollinger. She
is survived by her loving children: Gary (Annita) Milkwick
of Kennesaw, GA, Arthur (Mary) Odden of Hayden Lake, ID,
Vickie Odden, Anchorage, AK, Carmen (Chris) Galloway, Orlando,
FL, Nichole (Rex) Cooley, Mesa, AZ; grandchildren: Chris,
Sara, Jared, Marielle, Gary J., Brad, Kari, Tim, Heather,
Arthur W., Stacie, Karen, Logan, Michael, Chelsea, Megan,
David, Hilary, Amanda, Samantha, Caitlin, Nathan, Alex,
Elisa and Isaac; sister, Ramona (Karl) Jones and brother,
Glen (Kaye) Hunsaker.
She was born in Elwood, Utah and spent
most of her adult life in California, before retiring back
to Utah and then ultimately moving to Georgia to be near
her son, Gary. She was a true renaissance lady. Later in
life she discovered the artist within and developed her
skills as a painter of both landscapes and portraits. In
addition, she became a master porcelain doll maker including
clothing design and construction and even sculpting her
own doll creations. She was determined, compassionate and
generous with her love, time and talents.
She was an active member of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be greatly
