Margaret McArthur Hinrichsen
1919 ~ 2015

Margaret L. McArthur Hinrichsen was born August 4, 1919 in El Centro, California, and passed away February 14, 2015 in Alpine, Utah, at the River Meadows Senior Living Facility. Her life was filled with love: for her family, her friends and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was the perfect day (Valentine’s Day) for her to reunite with her husband, Clifford Thomas Hinrichsen whom she married June 11, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple, her parents, Lloyd Mortimore McArthur and Magdalena Laub, her two brothers, Lloyd William and Daryl Lowell McArthur and 2 great grandsons, Richard and Anson Call.

In her 95 years: She lived in many cities in California, including La Mirada and Brea; in Las Vegas, Nevada; in Cedar City, Provo and Alpine, Utah; in Twin Falls, Idaho, and Quantico, Virginia.

With unwavering faith she served in various callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints: Ward Relief Society President and MIA President, counselor, teacher, and homemaking leader, primary teacher, Stake MIA President, Stake Relief Society Presidency etc!

She shared her talents in ceramics, art, millinery, interior design, floral arranging, crafts, gardening, cooking, homemaking and entertaining.

She enjoyed the companionship of many lifelong and eternal friendships.

She received the love, honor and respect, as matriarch, from her 3 children and their spouses: Daryl Alvin (Sheilah) Hinrichsen, JoAnn (Larry) Hinrichsen Tolman both of Alpine Utah; Heinee Mark (Dina) Hinrichsen of Sandy, Utah; her 19 grandchildren (and 15 spouses); and 35 + great grandchildren. Thanks to her example and through our faithfulness, we look forward to a grand reunion in heaven.

Her love of life, infectious smile, sense of adventure and Can-Do attitude blessed all of our lives for good.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 10:00 am at the Alpine 8th LDS Ward Chapel, 890 North Heritage Hills Drive, Alpine, Utah. Family and friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00-10:00 am prior to services at the church. Interment will take place in the Alpine City Cemetery.
