Price Johnson, age 95, died peacefully in American Fork,
Utah, on October 15, 2017. She was a dedicated wife, mother,
educator, musician, and artist. She was born in Sugar City,
Idaho, on May 11, 1922, the 6th child of Wilford and Ivie
Judy Price. She married Lee Hansen Johnson on October 28,
1943, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She graduated from Ricks
College in 1943 and from Weber State College in 1966. She
worked as a school teacher in Idaho and Utah for 27 years.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints. She served in callings in Relief Society,
Young Women, Primary, as well as the Ward Music Chairman
for over 50 years. In 1986, Loretta and Lee served a Public
Communications mission in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Bryon
and Susan Johnson, Salina, Kansas; Loralee Long (Theodore
T Long, Jr, deceased), Bakersfield, California; Kris and
Nancy Johnson, American Fork, Utah; Jaron and Kamie Johnson,
Heber City, Utah; Dean and Laurie Johnson (Elaine Rose Johnson,
deceased), South Jordan, Utah, a sister, Neva Oswald, Bountiful,
Utah, 29 grandchildren and 80 great grandchildren. She was
also preceded in death by her husband, Lee, and great grandson,
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October
20, 2017, at the Cedar Hills LDS Stake Center Chapel, 4580
West Cedar Hills Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah. Family and friends
may call on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the
church prior to the services. Interment will be at Lindquist’s
Memorial Park in Layton, Utah, at 3:00 pm.
