Don Knight, age 82, passed away May 5 after a long battle
with Alzheimer's. He was born March 5, 1932 in Cedar City,
Utah to Wanda and Royce Knight. He married Amy Adams of
Parowan, Utah on July 6, 1951 in the St. George Temple.
They are the parents of 4 children, Jan (Mark) Meyers, Craig
(Charlotte) Knight, Danna (Larry) Johnson and Julie Woodward.
He has 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Don loved the out of doors and found great joy in the beauties
of the earth. He worked his way through college at Zion
National Park and had a life-long love of the natural beauty
of Southern Utah and the Rocky Mountains. His love of the
outdoors was evident in his many high adventure activities
with the Young Men of the Church. He was an active member
of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served
in many positions in the Church, including a 2 year mission
with his sweet Amy, in the St. Louis, Missouri Temple.
Don earned his PhD in Elementary Education from Wayne State
University in Detroit, Michigan. Besides his work in education
he had a great love of theater. Don wrote some children's
books and several children's plays, one of which was performed
at the University of Utah. He also directed many church
productions including a church pageant "Independence
1830", which was performed in Independence, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014, at
11:00 am in the Hillcrest 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 949 North
540 West, American Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call
Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Warenski Funeral
Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, and also at an
additional viewing Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior
to services at the church. Interment will follow services
at the American Fork City Cemetery. The family extends a
special ‘thank you’ to Abbington Manor for their
loving care. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations
to the General Missionary Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints.
Age 95, died peacefully in American Fork, Utah, on October
15, 2017. She was a dedicated wife, mother, educator, musician, and

of James Thurman Reed and Mae Euphemia Holmquist. Catherine had three
younger brothers; Robert Joseph, James Thomas, and Richard Allen Reed.
