1920 ~ 2012

Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Nelda Marie Kidd MacPherson, peacefully passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in Cedar Hills, Utah, at the age of 92.

Nelda was born May 7,1920 in Drummond, Idaho to George Clement Kidd and Minnie Obray Jackson. Nelda being the only girl in her family along with four brothers quickly learned the art of cooking as well as how to organize a home. Her greatest love growing up was working with her parents as they worked the ground together and raised their own food.

While working in Salmon, Idaho, as a hairdresser, Nelda, met and married Don E MacPherson from Salmon, Idaho. They had an exciting and eventful life together raising five children and living in Idaho, California, parts of the east and south during his military service. They later lived in New Mexico and Utah where they raised the remainder of their family.

Nelda was known for her love of gardening and nature itself. She was the first to offer help when someone was in need. She was a passionate and spiritual woman and loved by all her knew her, her influence was felt by many. She was a teacher and student of life, a true friend and confident. Her gentle smile often masked her fiery spirit that encouraged others to never give up. Life was a challenge sometimes but she always met it head on. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and a force that could never be stopped. We all love her and will miss her dearly.
