beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Nelda Marie
Kidd MacPherson, peacefully passed away Tuesday, May 8,
2012 in Cedar Hills, Utah, at the age of 92.
Nelda was born May 7,1920 in Drummond, Idaho to George
Clement Kidd and Minnie Obray Jackson. Nelda being the only
girl in her family along with four brothers quickly learned
the art of cooking as well as how to organize a home. Her
greatest love growing up was working with her parents as
they worked the ground together and raised their own food.
While working in Salmon, Idaho, as a hairdresser, Nelda,
met and married Don E MacPherson from Salmon, Idaho. They
had an exciting and eventful life together raising five
children and living in Idaho, California, parts of the east
and south during his military service. They later lived
in New Mexico and Utah where they raised the remainder of
Nelda was known for her love of gardening and nature itself.
She was the first to offer help when someone was in need.
She was a passionate and spiritual woman and loved by all
her knew her, her influence was felt by many. She was a
teacher and student of life, a true friend and confident.
Her gentle smile often masked her fiery spirit that encouraged
others to never give up. Life was a challenge sometimes
but she always met it head on. She was an incredible wife,
mother, grandmother and aunt and a force that could never
be stopped. We all love her and will miss her dearly.
Nelda is preceded by her brother Fern, her brother Earl,
her brother Clark, her husband Don, her son Brad, her grandson
Ryan and grandson Lucas (Nelson). She is survived by her
daughter Donna (Bill Nelson), her daughter Debra (Brent
Buckner), her son Douglas MacPherson (Jane), and her son
Curtis MacPherson (Wanda), brother, George J Kidd and 22
grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012
at 10:00 am at the Cedar Hills Stake Center, 3950 West Cedar
Hills Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah. Family and friends may call
Friday, evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at Warenski Funeral Home,
1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah and Saturday morning
from 9:00-9:45 am prior to services at the church. Interment
will be at 3:00 pm in the Avon Cemetery, Avon, Utah.
