David Moeller "the Chief" or "Big Dads,"77,
passed away peacefully and unexpectedly Thursday October
30, 2014, at his home In Alpine, Utah. William was born
December 12, 1936 to Henry William Moeller and Elsa Hildegard
Wegel in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Bill is Survived by his wife Jeneane Fisher Collins, and
his children Keith (Shelly), Scott (Liz), Marianne Wooden
(Darren), Mark (Denise), Nathan (Sheree) and Caroline Pack
(Brandon). Bill was preceded in death by his oldest son
Kent David Moeller. Bill is Grandpa Moeller to 31 Grandchildren
and 12 Great Grandchildren.
Bill was raised in Salt Lake City and attended Olympus
High School. In 1956 Bill married his High School sweet-heart
Jeneane Collins to whom he has been married to for 58 years.
Bill served in the US Air Force, he was an inventor, entrepreneur,
scientist, humanitarian, has been awarded several patents,
and holds a doctorate degree. Bill was an active High Priest
in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and
over his lifetime served in a number of church callings
including the Bishopric, High Council, Young Mens, and Scout
Master for many years. Bill received his eagle scout award
when he was 12 years old. Over the years he has received
a number of awards and acknowledgments for service and achievements.
Bill will be missed by his beloved wife and family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014,
at 11:00 a.m. at the Alpine Cove LDS Ward Chapel, 1125 East
Alpine Boulevard, Alpine. Friends and family may call Wednesday
evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Warenski Funeral Home,
1776 North 900 East, American Fork, and also at an additional
viewing on Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to
services at the church. Interment will take place in the
Alpine City Cemetery.
