June Tippetts Newman
1931 ~ 2017

On Sunday November 5th our sweet Mom won her battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She died peacefully at home with family by her side.

Mom was born in Springville, Utah to William Arthur and Ariadne MayTippetts on October 2, 1931. She was the youngest of 13 children. She was the last surviving child and is now reunited with her parents and siblings.

Mom and dad, William Newman, met while attending Springville High School. They were sealed in the St. George Temple on June 3, 1952. The family moved to Southern California in 1959 for Dad’s career. Eventually 6 children were born into their loving home. In 1973we moved back home to Utah.

Mom’s life was given in joyful service no matter where they lived or what her calling. Mom was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many callings including anything to do with singing or leading the music and several times as Relief Society President. Mom was the heart of our home filling it with love, music and the smell of homemade bread. She was always serving and singing and many times, much to the dismay of we children, the delicious desert cooling on the counter wasn’t for her family but was for someone else in need. Mom never met a person that she didn’t love. She gathered in people just as she gathered in her family. There was always enough room for anyone in need. Mom opened her home to those in need on countless occasions. Mom and Dad served 3 LDS missions to Chicago, IL, Kirtland, OH and a humanitarian aid mission to Kazakhstan. Each mission gave her a larger group of people to love.

Mom is survived by 5 children: Melody (Dave) Gonzales, Paul (Kathy), Jeanine (Dave) Brown, Ken (Norma) and Bruce (Paul Hempel), 27 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Bill, son, Ronnie and a grandson, Bobbie. What a grand reunion is going on beyond the veil.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the LDS Chapel located at 1020 East 1900 North, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends may call on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah, and again on Saturday from 11:30 to 12:30 pm at the church prior to services. Interment will be at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery in Provo. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.warenski.com

The family wishes to thank Comfort Worx Hospice, and Tina with Home Instead for their loving care for our mom in her final days.
