Nathan Gary Ostler
1982 ~ 2017

Nathan Gary Ostler passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 12, 2017 in Vineyard, Utah. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 31, 1982 to Gary and Tonda Roberge Ostler.

Growing up, Nathan loved his pet duck Nemo, doing handstands and back flips, and having adventures with his younger brother Chris. Starting in high school, and throughout his life, Nathan performed in several plays and loved being a part of theater, whether singing, acting, or dancing. He also enjoyed doing extra work for television shows and movies.

Nathan served a two-year mission in Munich, Germany and learned to speak fluent German. Nathan was also a private-licensed pilot and enjoyed flying. A skilled skydiver, Nathan had over 200 jumps, including one from a hot-air balloon. Nathan loved traveling with family. Hawaii and California were two of his favorite places to visit. You would often find him running barefoot on the beach or finding a great sushi restaurant.

Musically-talented, Nate played the guitar, ukulele, and loved to sing. He was very athletic, energetic, adventurous, and had a playful sense of humor.

Nathan also had a very kind heart and loved spending time with his family, friends, and pug, Ollie. He enjoyed visiting extended family members and sharing memories.

Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Gary Wayne Ostler and his brother, Christopher Stephen Ostler. He is survived by his mother, Tonda Ostler, and four sisters, Stephanie Gunn, Michelle Shumway, Heather Pead, and Holly Ostler.

Memorial services for Nathan will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Highland LDS Stake Center Chapel located at 5335 West 11200 North, Highland, Utah. Services under the direction of Warenski Funeral Home in American Fork, Utah.
