Gary Ostler passed away peacefully in his sleep on November
12, 2017 in Vineyard, Utah. He was born in Salt Lake City,
Utah on August 31, 1982 to Gary and Tonda Roberge Ostler.
Growing up, Nathan loved his pet duck Nemo, doing handstands
and back flips, and having adventures with his younger brother
Chris. Starting in high school, and throughout his life,
Nathan performed in several plays and loved being a part
of theater, whether singing, acting, or dancing. He also
enjoyed doing extra work for television shows and movies.
Nathan served a two-year mission in Munich, Germany and
learned to speak fluent German. Nathan was also a private-licensed
pilot and enjoyed flying. A skilled skydiver, Nathan had
over 200 jumps, including one from a hot-air balloon. Nathan
loved traveling with family. Hawaii and California were
two of his favorite places to visit. You would often find
him running barefoot on the beach or finding a great sushi
Musically-talented, Nate played the guitar, ukulele, and
loved to sing. He was very athletic, energetic, adventurous,
and had a playful sense of humor.
Nathan also had a very kind heart and loved spending time
with his family, friends, and pug, Ollie. He enjoyed visiting
extended family members and sharing memories.
Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Gary Wayne
Ostler and his brother, Christopher Stephen Ostler. He is
survived by his mother, Tonda Ostler, and four sisters,
Stephanie Gunn, Michelle Shumway, Heather Pead, and Holly
Memorial services for Nathan will be held Saturday, November
18, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Highland LDS Stake Center Chapel
located at 5335 West 11200 North, Highland, Utah. Services
