Richard Daniel Pevny
1950 ~ 2015

Richard Daniel Pevny was born May 29, 1950 in Wilmington, Delaware. His parents are Chrysteen and John Pevny. "Dan" passed on August 14, 2015.

His earned his bachelor’s in law enforcement at Brigham Young University. He was a lifetime learner, though his preferred home study was usually a choosing of his favorite dramatic fiction authors. His hobby time was often filled with fishing in his younger years, and crossword puzzles later in his life.

Dan served in the United States Army, receiving a Purple Star in recognition of his sacrifice in the Vietnam war. He was also given special recognition by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for risking his life to save someone during his service as a security guard for the president of the church.

His children knew him as a father who was constant and loyal. He always worked hard. Of his virtues, people knew him to be peaceful and kind, and his language as far from complaining as could be. He treated all people well, and he was always interested in making friends with people everywhere.

He lived a life of accomplishment. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, father; John, brother; Jim, and his four children; Jason, Andrew, Cassi, and Cami.
