Clyde Shelbi Pierce
1928 ~ 2014

Clyde Shelbi Pierce, 86, of Kearns, Utah, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014. He was born on March 30, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Parley William and Florence Oberg Pierce. He married Reva Marlene Epperson in September of 1949 in Salt Lake City.

Clyde was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was also a member of the Lion’s Club. He loved to golf, fish, go camping with his family, was an avid skier and worked over thirty years for Mountain Bell where he started as a janitor and retired as an engineer.

He is survived by his son, Michael Clyde (Julie) Pierce, daughter, Karen Alumbaugh, and their children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Reva, daughter, Sheila Rae Pierce Meza, and grandson, Jason Erickson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at 11:00 am in the Village Way Chapel, 901 East Village Way, Alpine, Utah. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 at the chapel prior to services. Interment will follow services and luncheon at Midway Cemetery in Midway, Utah.
