Dale Leavitt Prince
1932 ~ 2015

Dale Leavitt Prince, faithful husband, loving father and grandfather, friend to all, passed away in his Highland home on Sunday, April 19, 2015.

Dale was the youngest child of James W. and Lavern Leavitt Prince, born on July 9, 1932 in Cardston, Alberta Canada. He served an LDS Mission to South Africa and then studied at BYU, graduating in Accounting in 1960. While at BYU, Dale met Venice Marie Lund, of Tarzana, California, and they were married on Nov 21, 1956 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. After graduation, they moved to Northridge, California where they lived for 37 years. Dale became a CPA and began a career in public accounting. He enjoyed his profession and was loved by his clients. Dale treated people as if they were from his hometown of Glenwood, remembering their names and chatting at every opportunity. He was an avid sports fan, going to all kinds of sporting events including The Lakers and The Dodgers. He loved hockey and enjoyed season tickets to the LA Kings. When they moved to Highland, Utah, he enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s swim meets, basketball and football games. He loved fishing trips to Idaho, Alaska, and Mexico.

He is survived by his wife, Marie, daughter, Dianne Larsen (Shelby, Thomas, & Connor), son Michael (Jessica, Melissa, & Tricia), grandchildren Janae and David Tucker. He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Marie and son-in-law Craig Larsen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Highland 15th LDS Ward Chapel, 5212 West Country Club Drive, Highland, Utah. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the church and again on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will take place in the Highland City Cemetery.
