Wallace "Dick" Raines, age 80, a resident of Alpine,
Utah, and formerly of Redding, California, passed away on
January 10, 2014. He was born on November 4, 1933 in Buffalo,
New York, a devoted son of the late Margaret M. Kanaley
and Charles F. Raines.
Dick was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years,
Barbara JoAnn Berglund. Dick is survived by his loving wife
Jane; his sons, Jay (Merna) Raines and Jonathan (Tina) Raines;
his five grandsons, Jasper, Grady, Isaac, Addison and Samuel;
his brother Robert Raines; and nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his brother Charles (Ted) Raines.
In his lifetime, Dick, was a devoted son, husband, proud
father, grandfather, and faithful Latter-day Saint. He was
a true life long student, always wanting to learn something
new. Dick lived a full and active life, he loved deeply,
laughed hard, sought adventure, served others, and touched
the hearts of many.
Dick’s life will be celebrated at the Alpine 1st
Ward LDS Chapel, 890 North Heritage Hills Drive, Alpine,
Utah on Saturday, January 25th, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.
Age 95, died peacefully in American Fork, Utah, on October
15, 2017. She was a dedicated wife, mother, educator, musician, and
