“Jay” Singleton, 83, of Alpine, Utah, passed
away on October 21, 2015. He gave a valiant fight with cancer.
He was born September 22, 1932 to June and Emery Bernell
Singleton in American Fork, Utah. Jay married Juanita Strong
on July 10, 1953. They were married 62 years.
Jay loved fishing, camping, and golfing. He loved spending
time with family. Jay worked many years for Holley Auto
in American Fork where he eventually became an owner.
Jay is survived by his wife, Juanita, his son, Larry (Gina)
Singleton, and daughters Dawn (Dean) Anderson and Connie
(John) Romney, and also 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Jay is preceded in death by his parents June and Bernell
Singleton, daughter Lori Singleton, three grandsons, Jared
and John Romney and Joshua Singleton, and three sisters,
Mae Kolek, Faye Jones, and Colleen Fowler.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 26, 2015
at 11:00 am at the Alpine 8th LDS Ward Chapel, 890 North
Heritage Hills Drive, Alpine, Utah. Family and friends may
call on Sunday, October 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Warenski
Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah,
and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church prior
to services. Interment will be at the Alpine City Cemetery.
