Tanner “Tilly” McKay Smith

On Sunday, April 17, 2016 Tanner returned to the presence of our loving Heavenly Parents, relieved of the trials and sorrows he was facing. Tanner was 20 years old.

Tanner was born in American Fork, Utah on March 26, 1996. Tanner is survived by grandparents J.H. and Helen Harvey; parents Lansing and Caroline Smith, and siblings Brittney (Ryan) Nelson, Christian (Michelle) Smith, Leslie (Matt) Stranski, and Spencer Smith, and niece Jaydia and nephew Kyden.

Tanner was a graduate of Lone Peak High School where he played varsity lacrosse; he loved camping, mountain biking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, and rock climbing, going to the gym and being outdoors.

Tanner’s enthusiasm, spirit and love of life were unmatched. Tanner loved spending time with family and friends. Tanner had a soft and tender heart. He was always kind and caring. He was loved by everyone and will be missed greatly.

Funeral services for Tanner will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Cedar Hills West LDS Stake Center Chapel, 4580 West Cedar Hills Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah, and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will follow services at the Highland City Cemetery, 11000 North 6200 West, Highland, Utah.
