Dustin Autton Sorrels
1987 ~ 2016

Dustin Autton Sorrels passed away on October 15, 2016 at the young age of 28, surrounded by family.

Anyone who knew Dustin knew he was a sweet, loving and kind soul with an infectious laugh and smile. Dustin loved skateboarding, watching movies, bowling, women, partying, camping and boating with his dad.

He was a loyal friend and loved his family. Dustin worked hard as an Iron worker for many years and most recently enjoyed working at Jiffy Lube in Kaysville. Above all, he found his greatest joy in life from being a dad; his children were his motivation to do and be better each day.

Dustin fought a long hard battle with depression and addiction; it was an uphill battle with some victories, but all the love and fight in the world could not save him. Now he is able to find the peace that he was never able to find.

Dustin leaves behind his parents, Steve and Karen Sorrels, a sister Laci (Christian) Gentry, a brother Steven (Marci) Sorrels, his fiancé Katie Mix and two beautiful children Oaklee and Jaxon Sorrels. As well as grandparents Carol and Al Sorrels, along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and a multitude of wonderful friends. Preceded in death by Grandparents, Dale and Lucile Evans, Aunt, Joyce Sorrels-Sullivan, Uncles, Rick Clift and Danny Davey, and Cousins, Josh Evans and Michael Evans.

In lieu of flowers please donate to America First Credit Union to the Dustin Sorrels Memorial fund.
Buckwheat, you will always be in our hearts; gone but never forgotten.

Please join Dustin’s family to celebrate his life on Saturday October 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
