1944 ~ 2017
Don Walker passed away peacefully April 24, 2017, in Provo,
Utah. Marc was born January 18, 1944, in Coalville, Utah,
just seven minutes after his twin brother Michael Dean.
He was born to Arthur Dean Walker and June Lorraine Neel
Walker. Mike and Marc were 18 months old before their father
got to meet them because he was serving overseas as a military
policeman during World War II.
Marc was raised in Kamas, Utah, and graduated from South
Summit High School in 1962. He spent time in the Utah National
Guard. He worked at various jobs throughout his life. His
most memorable job was driving “big rig” trucks
across the country; he was proud to be known by the CB handle
of Silver Grizzly. A disability caused by a trucking accident
many years ago led to an early retirement.
After both of his parents passed away, Marc assumed the
role of sibling tracker. He would call each one of his siblings
each month so he could report to the others what was going
on in everyone’s life. Thank you, Marc, for keeping
track of us and helping us keep in touch with each other.
Marc was married to Wenn Carter in 1963. From this union
a daughter, DeAnn, was born. Although Marc and Wenn later
divorced, he always felt a deep love for both of them.
Marc is survived by his daughter, DeAnn Deniker; a grandson,
Chace Deniker; his twin brother, Mike; his sisters, Jeannie
(Bill) Baker, Judy (Wally, deceased) Church, and Susan (Dale)
Harris; and a brother, Kelly (Angela) Walker; and 20 nieces
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 28, at 12:00
pm at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 500 North Main Street,
Pleasant Grove, Utah.
