Raman D Watkins
1936 ~ 2016

Raman “D” Watkins, 80, of Lehi, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016. He was born February 29, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William DeLos (Wattie) and Eunice Smith Watkins. He married the love of his life, Janeen Nelson Watkins on September 16, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they had four children.

He enjoyed camping, four wheelers, and hunting. He served an LDS Mission in the Southwest Indian Reservation in the Four Corners Area and knew how to speak Navajo. He was a Master Electrician by trade and taught electrical apprentice classes at the Utah Trade Tech, later becoming a Professor at Utah Valley State College in the Electrical Automation and Robotics program. He was an eagle scout.

He is survived by his wife, Janeen N. Watkins, Jeana (David) Howe, Valyn (Rod) Olsen, Mark (Peggy) Watkins, Ranae (Wade) Ashby, Brother Lee R. (Martha) Watkins. 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11 am at the Lehi 8th LDS Ward Chapel, 127 E. 3200 N, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends may call Friday, September 16 from 6-8 pm at the church and again on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 am at the church prior to services. Interment will be at the Lehi City Cemetery.
