Colleen Bauer Webster
-- 1928 ~ 2014 --

Colleen Bauer Webster, 85, our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on February 10, 2014 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s and diabetes.

The second child, Colleen was born on December 2, 1928 in Cedar City, Utah to John Carlos and Aurelia Worthen Bauer. She lived most of her life in Cedar City, graduating from Cedar City High School and marrying the love of her life, Dono Roundy Webster on April 26, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. Theirs was a love affair beyond measure. Later in life, mom and dad moved to Ketchum, Idaho where they lived happily until dad’s death on June 24, 2000. Family helped take care of mom until she needed more care than we could provide.

Being a wife and mother was everything to her and offered her many great adventures. Her testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was apparent in the things she did and said, and is what made her an incredible example to her family. She leaves behind a vast number of people whose lives she has touched and enriched.

Colleen is survived by her son, Michael Dono (LaJauan "Lou"), her daughters, Karen (Randy) Stout, Cindy (Kary) Yates, and Lynnette Webster, 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dono, daughter, Sharon (Jerry) Jorgensen, and stillborn son, Steven.

A special thank you to those in the Cedar City 4th Ward that are helping with the funeral and luncheon, we appreciate your kind thoughts and generous service.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Cedar City 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 500 West 400 North, Cedar City, Utah. Family and friends are invited to a viewing at the church from 12:30-1:30 pm prior to services. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery.
