Carol McMillan Murdoch, 89, passed away on December 23, 2020 surrounded by family.

Carol was born on December 6, 1931 to George and Lota Pearl Sweat McMillan in Keetley, Utah, which is now at the bottom of Jordanelle Reservoir. She was the fourth of five children. She grew up in Heber before moving to Pleasant Grove where she graduated high school in 1950. She later attended the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She met and later married Francis “Finn” Murdoch on June 5, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Carol and Finn had five children together living in American Fork their whole lives. She loved doing hem stitching in her home for others and loved sew in her free time. Her passion in life was vacuuming. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and gardening with Finn and the family, taking many family vacations throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Finn, her parents, and one son, Allen. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Anna Rose Harris, and three brothers, George McMillan, Lee McMillan and Kenneth McMillan. She is survived by her children, Marsha (Dennis) Beck, Jay (Giala) Murdoch, Lorna Murdoch, Joe (Linda) Murdoch and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at the American Fork City Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Missionary Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
