Hyrum William Hatch

2006 ~ 2021

Hyrum William Hatch, age 15, was lost to depression July 24, 2021. He was an amazing young man and a kind, loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Our hearts are broken and we don’t know how to go on, only that we have to go on without our beloved Hyrum.

Hyrum was born February 15, 2006 and is the first child of Ammon and Abigail (Bezzant) Hatch. He had a bright, fun-loving personality. He was very observant and a quick learner, ever-curious about the people and world around him. He graciously filled the role of the near-perfect big brother to Audrey (13), Heber (11) and Vivian (9). For them, there was no greater gift than his acceptance and approval.

Hyrum was a freshman at Mountain Ridge Junior High School where he was also a member of the Lone Peak High School Wrestling Team. He excelled academically, favoring math, science, and computer animation.

Hyrum enjoyed time with his family, immediate and extended. Some of his favorite activities included: boating, weight-lifting, board and video games, studying films, riding motorcycles, and learning the guitar. His dog, Archie, or “Farty” as Hyrum lovingly called him, was always by his side.

When we think of Hyrum, we think of his kind heart, clever mind, and radiant smile. He will be forever missed by those that love him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Verlin Hatch. He is survived by his parents, one brother and two sisters, grandmother, Stella Colleen Hatch, grandparents, Brett and Kelly Bezzant and many cousins, aunts and uncles as well as his great-grandmother, Dena Tomlinson Bezzant and great-grandparents, Nyle (Nick) and Jean Walker Harris.
