Steven Lee Jabbs, son of Elmonte Roger and LaRae Rindlesbacher (both deceased), passed from this life into eternity on August 24, 2021 at the age of 62 at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah.  His battle with the disease that shall not be named, showed his courage in facing life challenges with hope, faith, and a solid belief in miracles.  Despite his debilitating circumstances, he was a hero and a strength to each in his family and friends.

As a child, Steve was drawn to cars, fixing them, racing them, and sometimes driving them through the halls of his high school.  He even opened his own tire and mechanic shop, “Premier Car Care” in Springville, Utah, where he made friends and treated customers with integrity and respect.

Steve loved so well.  He found the true love of his life, Michelle, while saving her from a vicious shark attack off of the Gulf of Mexico, or at least that’s his story, and he’s sticking to it!  It was love at first sight and she has supported him in every step together since.

Steve had one son, Michael Steven Jabbs (Chandra), with his first love, Letha Martin.  With his final and eternal marriage to Michelle Holmes, he has gained 5 more children, Bret Michael Tomlinson (whom he just met in Heaven), Marissa Tomlinson, Amber Lynne Varley (Justin), Emilie Noelle Tomlinson, and Cortnee Nicole Tomlinson.  He treated them just as his own children, and they love him dearly.  The cherries on top are our delightful grands, Olivia Varley (15), Lucas Michael Jabbs (8), Mena Michelle Varley (7), Landon Eli Jabbs (5), Austin Bret Varley (5), Bennett Warnick Tomlinson (4), and Adelynn Kate Varley (1)

Steve has loved and appreciated his siblings, Randy Jabbs (Deb), Cary Jabbs (Nancee), Cindy Winters (Tom), and Vickie Barnes.  He also adored his family-in-law Mike and Cheryl Holmes, Kathy Shields, and Jamee Gruel (Brandon).  There are many nieces and nephews who teased and joked with him who will miss his really bad dad jokes.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 am at the American Fork 37th Ward Chapel, 1100 East 400 North, American Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the church, and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church prior to services. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for the men and women who are fighting with all their might against this and all disease.  Thank you simply isn’t enough.  They had hoped Steve would get well and become an ambassador for vaccination.  As he is unable, our family would like to express our hope that you will find true and correct information and decide accordingly.
