Martha Fae Street Keetch
Martha Fae Street Keetch born in Magna Utah on January 31st, 1937 to Henry and Pearl Wilkin Street. She passed away at her daughter’s home in Farmington Utah on October 6, 2021 from COPD at the age of 84.
Mom enjoyed her younger years growing up in Magna until the family moved permanently to their grandparent’s home in Alpine originally a log cabin. She was raised there along with her 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
When she was in high school (American Fork), Martha met the love of her life, Dee Keetch while bowling with friends in Provo. She thought he was so handsome, and the two fell in love and married March 25 1955. They later were sealed in the Salt Lake temple.
Martha and Dee went through many struggles to become parents. After several miscarriages they were blessed with 4 kids who they together spoiled. Mardee (deceased November 2018), Michael (Dalyn), Karma (Brian), Brent (Britt Leigh). They enjoyed many years as a family camping, hunting, fishing, sledding, dirt biking and Jeeping.
They loved Alpine and were gifted family land to build a house on which she had up until the year she passed.
Mom started selling Avon which she really loved and continued to sell for over 40 years! Many times making the Presidents Club in sales earning her several Mrs Albee dolls. She really didn’t make much money, but really enjoyed the opportunity to do what she loved best, visiting with folks and getting the latest news.
Her hardworking husband Dee died at a young age of cancer leaving her a widow at the age of 45 with 4 kids. She did her best but life was never the same it was really hard. She loved being a pink lady (volunteer) at the American Fork hospital and was a lunch lady for Alpine school district for a few years. Mom loved to bowl and joined a bowling league at Jack and Jills in American Fork. She once scored a perfect 300!
She met Bill Thompson at a singles dance, they were companions for nearly 16 years before his passing. Mom loved Bill’s kids and enjoyed many years involved in his family. To know mom is to love mom. She was a comforter and giver throughout her whole life.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 26 years Dee and her eldest son Mardee, her brothers Grant and David and her sisters Janet and Norma. She is survived by her sister Mary and brother in-law Doug and 2 sweet sisters-in-law Kitsy and Jane. She is also survived by several grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to First Choice Home Health and Hospice for providing loving care to mom over the last years.
