Nora Christensen “Nodie”- Nora Marie Hoye Christensen “Gram”, age 91, was reunited with her Valentine on February 14, 2022. She passed away in her home surrounded by family. Nora was born August 9, 1930 in Crested Butte, Colorado to James Patrick and Eunice Snow Hunten Hoye. She was married and sealed to Blaine M Christensen, October 2, 1952, in Logan, Utah. Blaine passed away April 8, 2005.
Nora was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, attended Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and volunteered at the Helper’s Mining and Railroad Museum. She loved quilting, playing games, puzzles, knitting, reading, and feeding her loved ones.
Each of her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids have personalized knitted Christmas stockings and handmade quilts from gram.
“Gram” loved her family and she will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by three children, Jean E Hanvey (William Hanvey), Lyndon Arthur Christensen (Cris Tina Spillett), and Adam Carlette Christensen (Annette Masoner), and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all loved their “Gram”.
Nora is preceded in death by five sisters: Agnes Harris, Virginia King, Emma Scidmore, Hannah “Ruth” Rose, Patricia Hoye and one brother: Arthur “Bud” Hunten.
Funeral service will be Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cedar Hills 4th Ward Chapel (4580 W. Cedar Hills Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah). A viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow services at the American Fork City Cemetery.
