Randy Ernest Peterson
If you asked 100 people who Randy Ernest Peterson was, you would get an array of answers. A loving husband. A master gardener. A hero. A brilliant entrepreneur. A silly Grandpa. A ball-bag. A detective. A problem solver. A devoted father. A thoughtful friend. A servant. A brother.
Such a man has high expectations and Randy rose to the occasion every time. He was not a perfect man, but he shot for perfection every time.
Randy was born on September 10, 1963 to Oren Val and Sylvia Peterson in Provo, Utah. He was 5 of 9 children. He graduated High School and went on to serve an LDS mission in Bristol, England. After returning home he was introduced to the love of his life, Jill Irene Peterson, and through a whirlwind romance, RandyZ proposed after just 2 weeks of dating.
Their loved endured and thrived through-out 34 years and 4 children, Kira Lynch, Koby Peterson, Kourtnie Warden (Brock Warden), Karlee Peterson and 7 grandchildren, Kruz Lynch, Zola Lynch, Knox Lynch, Poppy Lynch, Nayvee Warden, Aero Warden, and Rise Warden.
Randy was a self-employed General Contractor and built several successful businesses. Randy, Jill and brothers built the family home that is a safe haven to every family member today.
Through-out his life, he attained multiple certifications and continued his education. He served his church as a 2nd counselor in the Elders Quorum of the Manila 6th ward.
Randy thrived during family vacations, his favorites were San Diego and Lake Powell where many cherished memories were made.
On February 12, 2022, Randy passed surrounded by his loving children, grandchildren and wife. His battle with brain cancer is over and his journey of watching over his loved ones has just begun.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the Manila Stake Center, 950 East 850 North, American Fork, Utah (Next to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple). A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church prior to services. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
