Ethel Genevieve Bateman Chase

1942 – 2022

A CELEBRATION OF AN AMAZING LIFE

Ethel would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. She will be welcomed home by her daughter Lynne and mother Maurine and so many more.

She leaves, for a time, her loving husband Mike and her 6 children Penny, Ben, Lori, Helen, Michelle, and Michael and countless grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her legacy is her eternal family and there are many.

She is remembered for her courage, and fierceness of spirit.  Always reminding her children that you can be whatever you want in life, and would tell you “if it is meant to be, it is up to you to make it happen” and “stay true to your faith and your eternal choices, and don’t forget to take care of others, less fortunate”.  She was always giving to others.

She had a wonderfully creative mind and a talent for crafts, sewing, painting and ceramics. Our home, was filled with music, laughs and love.

Her love for her husband Mike permanently fixes the belief that “true love does exist ”for she loves him now and forever.  They told each other this every day.

Someday we will all be together again. Until then, we Love You, Mom, Wife and Sister. You will be greatly missed.

Funeral services for Ethel will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10:00 am in the Cedar Hollow 2nd Ward Chapel located at 2178 North 1200 East, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00-9:45 am prior to services at the church. Interment will follow services at the Alpine City Cemetery.
