Eva Mary Curtis Peterson, 78, passed away peacefully In her sleep early morning on Saturday November 5, 2022. Eva was born on March 24, 1944 to Irwin Curtis and Ada Stark. She was raised in Springville, Utah alongside her five siblings.
Eva grew and later met Robert (Bob) and they quickly fell in love. Eva married Robert at 16 years old in Heber, Utah on August 26, 1960. Their life together had just begun. Eva joined Robert and they worked side by side on his family egg farm for quite some time. They later got sealed in the Manti temple for all time and eternity in 1962.
Shortly after, they started their little family and had their first child Sheri in 1962. A few years later they had Trent in 1966, Lorri in 1968, and Dustin in 1976. Their family was complete. Eva and Robert had moved to Draper, Utah for a short time before they moved to their forever home in West Valley City, Utah in December 1973. They grew to love it and raised their children there. Many years later, their home was “home” to everybody. Filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Eva loved children. She worked at Small World Daycare for quite some time. She later went to work for granite school district as a school bus driver, where she retired from.
Eva was such a genuine soul with the biggest heart. Always so loving and kind. Her spirit lit up every room she walked into. Her silly personality always left you smiling. She was so full of love and laughter. Always so compassionate and caring. If home were a person, it would be Eva. She will be missed dearly.
Eva is survived by her children Dustin, Lorri, and Trent, along with 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, as well as her sister Faye. She was proceeded in death by her husband Robert, her daughter Sheri, her parents Irwin and Ada, as well as four of her siblings.
Graveside services will be held in her honor on Friday November 11, 2022 at 10:00 am. These services will be held at Crescent Cemetery located at 11105 South State Street, Sandy, Utah 84070.
