Luke Lloyd Finlinson

1980 – 2022

Luke Lloyd Finlinson died unexpectedly in Orem, Utah, and returned to live with his Heavenly Father on December 4, 2022, at the age of 41.

Luke is survived by his children, Savy and Rocky; parents, Lynn and Janet George Finlinson of Orem, Utah; siblings, Jeremy Finlinson, Natalie Montgomery (Kurt), Liberty Givens, Michelle Shimmen (Peter), Jamie Monda (Brad), Benjamin Finlinson (Valerie), Adam Finlinson (Stephanie), and Jake Finlinson (Beth).  Luke is preceded in death by his brother Matt.

Luke was born on December 5, 1980 in Provo, Utah, to Lynn and Janet Finlinson.  He grew up in Plano, Texas, and graduated from Plano East Senior High in 1999. Luke served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Managua, Nicaragua Mission. Following his mission, Luke earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Utah Valley University. Luke was a devoted father to Savy and Rocky and cherished his time spent with them.  Luke was also a beloved uncle to thirty nephews and nieces and had an amazing talent to make everyone around him laugh. 

Luke loved to spend time with his children, family, and friends bowling, skiing, golfing, and watching sports and movies. Luke was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the piano, singing and having jam sessions with family.  Luke was a successful entrepreneur, business owner and sales professional.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Hillcrest 6th Ward chapel, located at 1035 South 800 East, Orem, Utah, 84097. A graveside dedication and service will be held the same day at 3:00 pm at the Oak City, Utah, cemetery.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Luke’s life. Condolences can be sent to Warenski Funeral Home in American Fork, Utah. The family would like to thank all those who had a positive influence in Luke’s life and helped him become such a wonderful father, son, uncle, brother and friend.
