Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend Kathleen Beck Brown, passed away Saturday September 23, 2023, with her daughter, son-in-law and sister by her side in Lindon Utah.

Kathleen was born July 8, 1936 to Leland and Verland Beck in Alpine, Utah. Kathleen married her sweetheart Max Brown in the Salt Lake Temple on September 26, 1956. Kathleen made Alpine her home most of her 87 years until this past December she moved to Spring Gardens Care Center.

She was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many positions, including Relief Society president, the young women’s organization, Sunday school and primary. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother to her three children; Kelly, Gina, and Kathy.

Kathleen enjoyed fishing, camping, and tailgating at BYU games with her family and friends. Most of all she enjoyed sitting in her chair or on the front porch looking at the North Mountain.

Kathleen is survived by her children Kelly (RaNae) Brown, Gina (Gary) Chalk, Kathy Jensen, 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Sisters LaRene Drew, Deanna Brown, and Cheryl Walker. Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband Max, her parents Leland and Verland Beck, siblings, Rea Carlton, Cleo Shepherd, Ross Beck, ReNae Keetch and many in-laws.

Funeral Services for Kathleen will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Old Red Brick Church, located at 165 North 100 East, Alpine, Utah. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will follow in the Alpine City Cemetery.

The family would like to express our thanks to Heidi Chalk, the nurses, aides and staff at Symbii and Envision Hospice. Thanks also to the memory care staff at Spring Gardens in Lindon for the tender care of our mother.
