Selma Alberta Legler Holman

April 18, 1924 ~ February 28, 2024

Selman Alberta Legler Holman was born on April 18, 1928 to Emory Eugene Legler and Maude Alberta Massey Legler, in Tampa Florida. She had two brothers, one older, Hugo Legler, and one younger, Nestor Legler. 

Selma grew up in Tampa Florida and graduated from Hillsborough High.  She was always involved in Church activities and met her husband, John Holman, at a Gold and Green Ball. They were married in the Idaho Falls Temple in the spring of 1948.  They settled in Pocatello, Idaho and raised 3 children; John L., Marilinda, and Kirk L. 

Selma served in callings in the LDS Church and later served a mission with her husband in the Kansas area.  Selma was the last surviving of her brothers and their wives, her brothers and sisters-in-laws and their spouses, 29 in all.  She is survived by her son, John L. Holman (Marae), Marilinda Holman Boyce (Jerry), and Kirk L. Holman (Denece), 11 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Selma will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Warenski Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call from 10:00-11:00 am prior to services at the Funeral Home.  Interment will be on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Sugar City Idaho Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
