Jennifer Susan Bozant Simmons Lyons, a cherished mother, grandmother, and beloved member of our community, passed away peacefully in her home on August 19, 2024, at the age of 79 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. Jennifer, a retired United States postal worker, was a woman of deep passions and unwavering devotion to her family, faith and country.

Born on December 19, 1944, in Corona, Riverside County, California, to Linton Benjamin Bozant and VelmaLee Jackson. A true California Girl and an American Patriot, Jennifer dedicated her life to bringing joy and comfort to those around her. Her dedication to service as an LDS temple worker, sparked her love for genealogy and history, was matched only by her enthusiasm for crossword puzzles, which she approached with both skill and delight. Her handmade quilts, lovingly crafted for each of her great-grandchildren, were more than just blankets – they were tokens of her enduring love and creativity.

A culinary enthusiast, Jennifer took great pleasure in baking and cooking for her family and friends. Always seeking out the perfect meal. Her Sunday family dinners were a treasured tradition, where she combined her love for cooking with her devotion to family, creating meals and memories that will be cherished by all who attended.

Jennifer is survived by her husband Alexander Lyons, children Tamra Annette King (Dwayne), Robert M. Simmons, Rick A. Simmons (Alma) and Todd M. Simmons (Sumita). Stepchildren Michael Alexander Lyons (Michelle), Lucille Cannizo (Daniel), Terry Lee Lyons (Lori), and Faith Kathleen Lyons. Grandchildren: Jessica Nicole Christensen (Andrew), Brittany Julianne Lyons, Joshua Alexander Lyons (Talissa), Zachary Terence Lyons, Keri Amber Simmons, Andrew Simmons, Katie Simmons, Natalie Simmons, Todd Michael Simmons Jr., Ashley Desiree Simmons, Macey Gowen, Kaitlyn Simmons, Kailey Cave, and Trevor Simmons. Step-grandchildren: Heather Kathleen Aokuso (Moila), Christine Nicole Lyons (David Price), Brendon Michael Lyons (Camila), Brianna Labrum (Brandon), Katie Forbes (Rob), Megan Olive, and Candace Olive. 27 great-grandchildren, and a host of friends who will remember her for her kindness, her stories, and her unwavering commitment to the things she loved.

Jennifer Susan Bozant Simmons Lyons will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, warmth, and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A funeral service to celebrate Jennifer’s life will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 9:30 am in the Warenski Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday morning from 9:00-9:30 am prior to services. Interment will follow in the Highland City Cemetery.
