Todd Ryan Schauerhamer
Todd Ryan Schauerhamer
3/15/1970 ~ 9/20/2024
Todd Ryan Schauerhamer was born in Salt Lake City at the L.D.S. Hospital. He was the second son of David Mons Schauerhamer and Sharlet (Shari) Jensen Schauerhamer.
Todd lived in Taylorsville the first three years of his life. At age 4 his adventure began as his family moved to Alpine, a small farming community in Utah County. In Alpine, Todd grew up feeding and caring for all sorts of animals like pet turkeys, pigs and gathering the family’s eggs from the chickens. As he grew a bit older, he had his own horse named Navajo. One of his favorite things after school let out in the summer was to ride horses up into the foothills almost weekly with his mom, brothers and sisters for a breakfast cooked on a campfire. A very special thing he grew up loving was going to Sliding Rock, a natural slide from a waterfall in the foothills half an hour’s walk from home above Alpine. One of his favorite pastimes was to swing on the rope swing across the creek that ran through his family’s property and let go with a splash. Todd’s childhood was a happy one mixed with lots of work weeding the garden and feeding the animals. He grew taller and taller until he was 7 feet tall and wore a size 15 shoe!!
After graduating from high school, Todd served a service mission in the Jordan River Temple. Following that he went to ‘Affinity Workshop’ where he worked for Gary Golding, a kind caring man who turned out to be a life-long friend. He met his eternal sweetheart Kelley Anne Pope while attending American Fork High together, and they both fell in love after one date, however she moved away and it took 17 years until they found each other again. They were married in the “Somewhere Inn Time Reception Center” on February 22nd 2002 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Timpanogos Temple for time and all eternity.
Todd had an extremely loving, kind, and caring nature. He would always leave the last or biggest serving for others. He was our “Gentle Giant.” He also loved to tell one liner jokes and always saw you left the room laughing. Those who knew him loved him.
He will be terribly missed by his wife of 22 years, Kelley, American Fork, Utah, his mom Shari Dutson and Quayle Dutson, his stepfather, Alpine, Utah. He has five brothers and sisters. Scott Schauerhamer, his older brother (Cheryl), Alpine, Utah, his younger sister Michelle Schauerhamer Knebel (Paul), Colorado Springs, Colorado, his brother Troy Schauerhamer (Wendy), Farmington, Utah, his sister Kristi Schauerhamer Terry (Travis), Benjamin, Utah and his youngest sister Nicole Schauerhamer Casey (Jared), Morgan, Utah. He was preceeded in death by his father David M. Schauerhamer who died in 1992 of cancer
