Deanna Rose Taylor
1942 ~ 2024
Our dear mother Deanna Rose Boren Taylor, peacefully passed away Monday evening November 4, 2024, at The Bel Aire in American Fork at the age of 82. Deanna was born to Lamar & Mryle Boren on Wednesday, June 24, 1942.
Deanna was born and raised in American Fork. She grew up with a big family. She enjoyed being one of the oldest in her family. She loved and cared for her siblings. Deanna went to American Fork High School and finished up at Mary Kawakami’s beauty school in 1960. She loved doing hair. Deanna married Ted Christensen at a young age. They had 4 children together. After that marriage ended, she remarried Henry Lopez. The two of them had 3 children together and fostered countless children. Deanna loved her family. She tried her best with her kids. She wanted the best for her children. Later in life she went back to school and earned her CNA certification. Enjoyed working with the elderly in home health care and hospice. Deanna also had an artistic side to her, she made beautiful temple quilts, afghans, stained glass, and water-colored paintings. Deanna was part of the church of Latter-day Saints (LDS). She loved the gospel and had a strong testimony. Her testimony got stronger as she got older. She was delighted to go to the temple whenever she could.
Deanna married Lex Taylor and was able to love and take care of him until his last days on earth. As Deanna got older, she needed more help. She moved in with her daughter Shantell for a few years then moved in with her daughter Debi for a few more. Once Deanna needed more help than her daughter could do, she moved into Bel Aire. Deanna spent the last 2 years in Bel Aire. All her children visited and took her out as much as possible as well as her sisters. Which she enjoyed immensely. Deanna was a spunky, sassy, fun, loving person to be around. She touched oh so many people in her life. Deanna will be missed.
