Glen H Eldredge, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on Saturday March 27, 2021 quietly in his sleep.

Born February 11, 1930 in Roosevelt, Utah. Glen was one of eight children. His parents were farmers and Glen learned at an early age the value of hard work and a sense of the importance of non-material things. Glen graduated from Alterra High School in 1948. After high school he attended Utah State University for two years prior to serving a mission in New England for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Glen met his sweetheart Deloris Hutcheon at a Church Fireside meeting. They were married on July 21, 1953 in the Logan Temple. This was during the Korean War and Glen was drafted and served his country for 2 years in Japan in the Army Intelligence Department. After the war, Glen went to BYU and earned his Bachelor’s degree in finance and business. He eventually went to work for US Steel as a System’s Designer where he would spend the remainder of his career.

He and Deloris eventually made their way to California where they raised their six children. Glen was a devoted family man. His family was everything to him and his life was an example of hard work and dedication. He worked tirelessly sometimes taking on extra jobs to keep his family well taken care of. He was a most generous person and was always that person who would help anyone with anything. He was a quiet man who preferred digging in his garden, reading a good book and woodworking to just about anything else except flying. He loved to fly and eventually earned his private pilot’s license. He was the handiest of handymen. He worked tirelessly on their home in Pleasant Hill, California building additions from the foundation to the roof to accommodate his growing family.

Glen is survived by his wife Deloris; his children Brad (wife Elaine), Bryan (wife Lisa), Ruth (husband Steven), James (wife Annie), Brent (wife Sharilyn), Paul (wife Helen), 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and four sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, 4800 North Eastlawn Drive, Provo, Utah.
